To Juice or Not To Juice, That is The Question!

I finally gave in and decided to try the whole juicing thing

I knew it was good for you and I knew it cleans out the toxins in your body.  What I didn't know is how easy it really is to do.

Mike started juicing about a year ago, he bought the big juicer machine and he started buying tons of raw fruits and veggies.  It would take him at least an hour to juice enough for 1- 2 days, I was thinking he is much more committed to this thing than I could be.  Finally he gave up on juicing his own and started buying the juice already made....BEST INVENTION EVER!!!!  lol.

Anyway I had been feeling bloated, so Mike suggested that I do nothing but juicing for the next 3 days.  I looked at him like I always had when he suggested this and then said OK.  I think he almost fell out of his chair.  The first day was hard, I was hungry and my body wanted something to chew and solid food in my stomach,  The 2nd day was much easier, I found the trick to getting through this is to not let yourself get too hungry.  If you start feeling hungry, go fix yourself a good size glass of juice and drink lots of water.  It worked, for me anyway.  The 3rd day was a breeze, but my stomach was very upset due to the juice so Mike made me some chicken and rice soup to settle my stomach so I ate it.  But I made it and now I have decided to keep juicing for 2 meals a day and eat a light 3rd meal.  I feel great, I have not weighed so I am not sure how much I have lost but I can feel a difference in my clothes.  I love this.

Makeup For Every Age!!! Believe It? Or Not?

Do you believe your age should or does have anything to do with what makeup you should use?


Whatever your age may be now, have you noticed a change in the makeup you use now versus the makeup you used to use?

If I were back in my mid 20's, I would probably answer the questions above with all No's.  But I, somewhat unfortunately, am not in my mid 20's.  I am in my 40's and my answers now would be all Yes's.

Before I go on, I have to share this really cool gift my daughter got me for my birthday 2 weeks ago.  It is called Q&A a day, it is a 5 year journal like no other I have ever seen.  It has a question for every day of the year, on each page for each day is one question.  Along with that one question is the place for your answer, actually 5 different places with a 20__ next to each answer for you to complete the year.  So you answer each question every year on the same day, this gives you in a very simple snapshot how your opinions, knowledge and views on the world in general change over time and as you get older.  I absolutely love this, and I started that day.  Sorry, I just had to share.  If you are looking for a great gift, you should check into this book.

My New Beauty Products

At work we had a system upgrade, at least that is what it is called.  It feels more like a downgrade, but due to the system issues we sent our team home early today and yesterday.  Today when we got to leave early, I went shopping....yep, when the going gets tough....the tough go shopping!!

I bought a great new product "Rozge Renew - Lip Plumper".  With age comes those tiny little lines around the mouth, which I hate.  So I bought this and tried it, and so far I can really see and feel a difference.  Don't get me wrong it is not like you just got Botox, it is just enough plump it looks very natural.  I am going to wear it tomorrow to work, and I will give you an update then.  It goes on and looks like clear lip gloss, so there is nothing to it.

They also make conditioning mascara, I didn't get this yet but I may have to try at some point.

So last weekend while cleaning out my closet and putting away my much loved boots to make room for my summer heels, I also pulled out all of my purses.  I installed utility hooks from the ceiling and wall, to hang my purses up out of the way while keeping easy access.  I keep a step ladder in my closet already in order to reach things on my top shelves, so using it to get my purses off the hooks hanging from the ceiling is fairly easy as well.  It looks great and I stuffed the purses with paper to help them keep their shape while not carrying them.  I thought I would share the pictures of my purses and wallets I keep in rotation.  I hope you enjoy.

Big Buddah, for those of you who haven't heard of Big Buddah - you are missing out.  They have some really great purses for really reasonable prices.  The dark green bag is my favorite and was my first Big Buddah, it is great soft leather and the color makes is neutral enough to go with everything.  The white bag is a great summer bag, I love it.  I was actually carrying the white bag until last weekend when I bought a new Steve Madden, which I will take a picture of it today before I post this.

Boots, Boots and More Boots!!!!

Too bad I don't live somewhere like Canada, I could get more wear out of my boots....lol.

Today I cleaned out my closet, I needed to put my boots up so I could get to my summer shoes.  For those of you who don't know me, I live in Houston Texas where we don't get much winter and I love wearing boots.  So I wear boots almost every day while the weather allows.  I took pictures of all my boots as I was putting them away and thought I would share them with you!
